Professional Photo Shoot

We've been getting a lot of checks as baby gifts this time around- which is great because we have tons of clothes already from Arden and hand me downs from other friends. And we pretty much have all the gear, so Target gift cards and checks were great gifts. I wanted to do something a bit more memorable with the monetary gifts then just buy diapers, so I started to research newborn and family photographers in the area. I'm a member of a web community called Triangle Mommies and got lots of good recommendations from there. After interviewing 2 photographers I found a great one that would do a shoot for only $85 for 2 hours worth of shooting and I got the electronic files of whatever 20 pictures I decided on after she posted the whole shoot online. She was awesome- JB Haygood Photography Best thing is she has a toddler of her own so was super comfortable around Arden and therefore Arden was comfortable around her. And she came to our house with tons of props to make the pictures adorable. Below are some of my favorites, but here's the link to all the ones we choose. JB Haygood Photo Shoot

The Drenzek Family Supports the Wolfpack!

We have never had our own NC State football tickets, but are thankful for all our friends that do! We figured this year was going to be a good one to try to get both girls to a game successfully. Arden's at the age that her nap schedule is a little bit more flexible and Kyla's too little to be on a nap schedule to worry about.

My dad had always said that he wanted to get Arden her first NC State cheerleading outfit so this was the year that one would finally fit our peanut. She loved her "NC State dress" and it will hopefully have some room to grow into for next year.
We were able to also score parking passes- thanks John & Kristin! Which make tailgating with kids so much easier. We even brought Kyla's travel swing so that she could literally be in the tailgate!
We had a great time hanging out with friends and then headed in right after kickoff. We didn't know how Arden would do with all the hoopla of kickoff, and anyone that's tailgated with the Drenzeks knows we spend most of the games in the parking lot anyway. Arden had a blast inside the stadium! It helped that our friends kids were right there with us to distract her and play with a bit. But she clapped whenever anyone else did and watched the cheerleaders with Mommy. She even waved to Mr. Wolf! Kyla slept the entire time as expected in her Ergo carrier.

Both girls were troopers staying up past bedtimes and I guess we were lucky to attend one of the few games the Pack decided to win this season! I don't think Arden wanted to leave but she crashed hard in the car on the way home.

One Month Photo Shoot

So something new I'm going to attempt to keep up with for Kyla is a picture of her monthly on her month birthday with a sign. This was my first attempt. Arden quickly wanted to join in the photo shoot.
Happy 1 month Kyla!
