Arden's all over the place these days. She's real into climbing on things. Mostly up and down the couch, on Maggie and up our deck stairs. We've been going to music class every friday for a little over a month now. She loves being around the kids and shaking and dancing, I'll try to get some pics next class. It's hard because she's in constant motion. She's had two visits from her Noani (my mom) and it's hard to tell who adores who more. Mom and I took Arden to the children's museum, Marbles downtown, which Arden loved! she liked walking around and exploring all the new things to try to put in her mouth the most. Most of the exhibits she'll need to grow into a bit, but she had fun.
A few weekends back, I got out and went to the Avett Brothers show with Ellen and Steve. Good times. I even made Ellen smoosh up front with me for a few songs. It was a sold out show, which is good for them, but makes it super crowded. All in all it was a fun night.
Dave's been working a TON. Late nights and weekends for over a month now, which sucks on a lot of levels, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I keep telling myself- this too shall pass.
My best friend Brittny just left to start a new chapter in her life by going to grad school out in Boulder, CO. While I'm totally happy for her to be taking this step and know that she needs to, it still stings that I won't get to see her all the time and don't know when I'll see her next. Thank goodness for cell phones, internet and email though. It's a good lesson in attachment for me, but that hasn't made it hurt any less yet.
